BVL Bowling Business of the Month

For the first time, the BVL Bowling Center of the Month is not actually a bowling center, it is a bowling equipment service and supply distributor in Deerfield, Wis.

For 26 years, Tom Schemm, President of Schemm Bowling, Inc. has hosted an annual golf outing to benefit various charities. This year, Tom chose BVL! Tom’s decision resulted in an addition of $1,746.00 to the BVL coffers, which translates into lots of smiles, laughter and fun via BVL programs for our veterans.

“With the military situation we’re in, we just thought that BVL made perfect sense as a recipient of our efforts,” Tom explains. “We do some work at the lanes at the Milwaukee VA and know first hand the importance of helping improve the lives of those who have served our country.”

Thanks to representatives from 31 Deerfield area bowling centers, the Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin, and a host of SBI family and friends, the event was an outstanding success. Following the day of golf, participants joined for a dinner where awards were presented and raffle tickets were sold to support BVL. Among other items, SBI donated a computer, a flat screen TV, gift cards and a trip to the Brewers game for the raffle.
